 After an initial engagement as Strategic Advisor, Chris acted as Interim Commercial Director for Viridor, a large multi-site organisation in the 
waste management sector. 
The company lacked senior commercial leadership in the executive board team and required a commercial support function during a period of rapid industry change and multi billion pounds investment in waste to energy generation and treatment plant.

Over a period of 10 months on part-time interim basis Chris led the commercial function through business change, employee engagement, SAP system programme implementation, strategic contract bidding, property and planning management, the creation of a central procurement function, enhanced energy risk management processes, commercial contract disputes and 
innovative business development in energy storage.

Chris was able to identify and successfully introduce other interim appointments from his personal network to provide the necessary impetus and expertise whilst assisting the client to recruit long term appointees - including his successor.

Chris has completed Interim Commercial Director appointments at Southern Water during a critical period of strategic change, and at Castle Water following a major acquisition. He has supported large infrastructure bids with commercial impact.
